What is your official title? Executive Pastor

What kind of stuff do you end up doing at Aldea? I help create a fun, positive, and uplifting experience for guests and regular attenders at Aldea and also our social networks online. I oversee  the “day to day operations” at Aldea.  This includes supervision of office, payroll, reporting and analysis of financial data, and providing feedback to the Leadership Team. I also speak Sunday mornings on occasion.

What kind of training or experience did you have before Aldea? Education: AA in Broadcast Communications (Sharon, PA).  AA in Biblical Theology  from University of the Nations. (Tyler, TX) I have helped start radio stations in addition to starting and pastoring several churches in Arizona and Kansas. I’ve been involved in ministry for about 40 years. I also work for JSL Solutions where I help churches and businesses use technology like streaming video, mobile apps and websites.

If you could add an extra secret day between Friday and Saturday, what would you use that time for? I’d like to add more then one day but I’d spend time off-roading in my Jeep Scrambler with my son. I also enjoy discovering new dinning experiences with my family. Yes, I like to eat!

Tell us about your family:
I’ve been married to Mary K. Thompson for over 25 years. We have one son, Graydon, whom we adopted as a newborn.

What’s your favorite way to show love to a complete stranger?
By listening, opening my heart to them and being sensitive to where they are at in life.
