The Aldea community is currently in a podcast series, More Than a Stiff Upper Lip: Understanding and Living the Stoic Way. On September 12, 2021 we’ll talk to Massimo Pigliucci. Massimo has a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee. He currently is the K.D. Irani Professor of Philosophy at the City College of New York. His research interests include the philosophy of science, the relationship between science and philosophy, the nature of pseudoscience, and the practical philosophies of Stoicism and New Skepticism. He is a practicing stoic, a Star Trek fan, and a delight to talk to.
