Are You a Seeker?

Seeking requires that we either leave something familiar or want something desirable.

Life would be impossible without our ability to seek. Whether we need knowledge, connection, freedom, happiness, or transformation, seeking is the required. But have you ever wondered what makes seeking possible? What is the precondition of seeking? What energizes our ability to explore?

Seeking requires that we leave something or want something? Without a willingness to let go of “what is” we can never search for “what could be.” This means we have to be willing to be lost in order to seek for something new.

Seeking also requires me to want something. If I don’t have a desire for something beyond my current experience, I have no need to seek.

Without these two qualities: leaving and wanting, seeking would never happen becasue our comfort zone would simply lull us to sleep. But we want something different for our lives.

There is no place where seeking is more critical than when we desire to live a deeply wise, spiritual, meaningful, and purposeful life. To live a life of love  requires we enter a never-ending search for authentic change, learning, growing, and serving. In this first segment of our series, Never Arrive, we’ll explore why leaving, losing, and wanting are needed in order to push us out of comfort to a place where we can transform and transcend self.

As we consider this important topic this week, we’ll provide and post:
