Dear Aldea community,

Racism is real.

The murder of George Floyd reminds us of a reality that is all too easy to ignore. We can no longer ignore it. We must work for a just society. Wisdom and spiritual traditions remind us that a just society begins when we practice empathy and compassion. We must, as Ibram X. Kendi wrote, put ourselves “in the soul” of the other. We must work to see the world, and its injustices, through the eyes of the neglected and disenfranchised.

Beginning June 14, our Sunday Series will look at the reality of racism and what we can and must do to work for justice.

From June 14, 2020 through July 5, 2020 at 10 AM (Arizona Time) our Sunday Series will be live on Zoom and streamed live on our website. Each week we will gather as a community on Zoom to learn and dialogue about a just society and what we can do to advance it.

If you receive our Newsletter you will receive a Zoom link for these Sunday gatherings. If you have friends that you believe would want to join us, please provide them the link.

We must work for a just society.
